Losi Mini Desert Truck

A full half-decade after releasing the innovative little Mini-T, the platform was still being revised and reused. The Mini Desert Truck features a more realistic body inspired by the 1:10th scale DT, including a partial rear roll cage and large tube-styled plastic bumper. Stylish chrome wheels are also used, along with very realistic and versatile tires that provide moderate grip in dirt, and last much longer than the Mini-T originals on asphalt or mixed surfaces. More importantly, the chassis is lengthened for significantly improved stability and less dramatic weight transfer. The longer chassis allows the battery to be mounted in a more longitudinal configuration, also aiding handling. Following the pattern started with the Mini Baja, the Mini Desert Truck also includes oil-filled shocks, a far cry from the "pogo stick" units on the older truck.
